Life on our pasture

We are a family-operated farm, and we started as bakers. At Fresh Local Breads, we bake with simple ingredients and a lot of patience. We raise our chickens the same way.

Our birds grow slowly, outside, on grass and sunshine. We raise them in small batches, so we know our flock well and give it daily care.

When you buy a chicken from us, you know exactly where your dinner came from.

Our flock on fresh grass, moved to new ground often.

Why it tastes better

Whole roast chicken with crispy golden skin and fresh herbs
  • Real flavor. Birds that walk and forage on grass have firmer meat and a richer taste.
  • Simple food. Grass, bugs, non-GMO grain, and clean water. That is all.
  • Local. Raised a short drive from your kitchen, not shipped across the country.
  • Small batches. Raised with care, not on an assembly line.
